What to prepare (Student Rentals)

Avoid installation failures by checking these first:

• Old Wiring Check Some older Uni Capital units have damaged internal phone sockets. The installer may need to drill a small hole to bring new fibre cable in. Ensure landlord agrees.
• Keys to Grill If your unit has a locked grill at the corridor, make sure you have the key. Installers need to access the riser outside your door.
• Housemate Agreement Decide who will be the "Owner" of the account. That person needs to provide their IC/Passport.
• Extension Cord Old units have few power plugs. Have a reliable extension cord ready near the TV area for the router and modem.

Installation Flow (Uni Area)

Getting connected for the semester:

• 1) Check coverage online Confirm your specific block letter (e.g., Block H, Block K).
• 2) Book Appointment We schedule the team. Slots fill up fast during semester intake weeks.
• 3) Cable Routing Installer pulls cable from the corridor ceiling/riser into your unit.
• 4) Activation System goes live. Connect all laptops and phones immediately.

Uni Capital Checklist

Older blocks, usually 3-4 storeys walk-up.

• Riser Access Riser boxes are often on the ground floor or stairwells. Ensure no bikes/shoes are blocking access.

Uni Square Checklist

• Address Accuracy Uni Square addresses can be tricky. Use the exact address from your electricity bill to avoid "Address Not Found" errors.
