Compare Maxis and CelcomDigi for home internet in Malaysia. This guide separates fixed fibre pricing, postpaid bundle value, latest 5G Home WiFi pricing, coverage reality and current Maxis Football Fever fibre offers so you can choose based on your actual address.
Maxis is strongest when your address has fibre coverage and you qualify for Maxis Postpaid Bundle pricing. Current Maxis fibre campaign pricing can make 300Mbps, 500Mbps and 1Gbps very attractive, especially for customers already using or planning to use Maxis Postpaid.
CelcomDigi can make sense if you already prefer the CelcomDigi mobile ecosystem, want a CelcomDigi ONE-style bundle, or want their public 5G Home WiFi offer such as the Premium router path. For fibre alone, compare final price and address readiness before deciding.
The old Raya iPad wording should not be used anymore. For the current Football Fever campaign, eligible Maxis Postpaid customers signing up new Home Fibre can get lower monthly fibre pricing and selected device or free-month options.
Best value for most homes that want stable fibre at a lower monthly price.
Strong choice for families, gaming, WFH, smart TVs and many devices.
Premium value if you have heavy usage, large home, creators or many simultaneous users.
For a fair comparison, separate Maxis Postpaid Bundle pricing from standalone fibre pricing. CelcomDigi public fibre pricing is useful as a benchmark, while CelcomDigi ONE bundles should be evaluated separately because they combine mobile, fibre and entertainment.

|---|---|---|---|---|
| 100Mbps | Check current entry plan / account eligibility. | Check current standalone entry plan. | RM99/month | Entry-level comparison should be checked live because campaign display can change. |
| 300Mbps Popular | RM99/month | RM129/month | RM139/month | Maxis is strongest if the customer qualifies for Postpaid Bundle; standalone Maxis is still slightly lower than CelcomDigi public fibre. |
| 500Mbps Heavy home | RM139/month | RM149/month | RM159/month | Maxis has a price edge, and the current Maxis campaign adds device/free-month options for eligible Postpaid Bundle customers. |

CelcomDigi ONE is stronger when a customer wants a larger mobile ecosystem bundled with fibre and entertainment. Maxis is cleaner when the customer wants a strong fibre price and already uses, or wants to use, Maxis Postpaid.
Best when the customer wants lower fibre pricing and selected current fibre campaign options without turning the comparison into a large entertainment bundle decision.
Best when the customer genuinely wants mobile plan, fibre and entertainment packaged together under the CelcomDigi ecosystem.
Wireless broadband is a separate decision from fibre. Choose 5G Home WiFi when fibre is not available, port is full, installation is not practical, or the customer is renting and needs plug-and-play internet.

Essential net RM89/month; Premium net RM109/month based on current public plan display. | Maxis now has a lower entry point, while CelcomDigi Premium is competitive for users who want its router and ecosystem. Signal still matters more than headline price. |
| Router / WiFi | Home WiFi 99 / 139 can use router options depending on selected bundle. 5G Plus Home WiFi 159 includes 5G router + mesh for wider home coverage. | Essential uses WiFi 6 router; Premium promotes a higher router path and Viu Premium bundle. | Router quality helps indoor WiFi, but it cannot fix weak outdoor 4G/5G signal from the tower. |
| Data and speed | Home WiFi 69 is entry data-based. Home WiFi 99 / 139 / 159 use unlimited 5G/4G home internet, subject to signal, plan terms and fair usage. | Unlimited 5G/4G data; Essential capped up to 100Mbps, Premium uncapped. | Always check indoor signal, router placement, wall thickness and floor level before choosing wireless broadband. |
| Promo period | Home WiFi 99 / 139 / 159 promo all run until 31 May 2026. Eligible signups may join TNG eWallet credits campaign up to RM200. | CelcomDigi offer terms follow its own plan and campaign rules. | Do not mix fibre promo and wireless promo. Confirm the final plan before applying. |
| Best use case | Maxis ecosystem users, no-port locations, temporary setup, backup connection, or homes that want Maxis 5G Plus router + mesh path. | Users who value CelcomDigi Premium router, Viu bundle, or CelcomDigi ecosystem. | If fibre is available and you need stability, choose fibre first. Use Home WiFi when fibre is not available or practical. |
In many Malaysian areas, fibre providers may rely on shared or wholesale infrastructure, but the retail plan, router, billing, support and campaign offer are different. For condos and apartments, availability can also differ by block, tower, riser, port and unit.
Check exact address, not just taman or condo name. Port status is the real deciding factor.
Wireless broadband depends on indoor 4G/5G signal, router placement, walls, floor level and tower congestion.
Some buildings need management approval, access timing or additional checking before installation can proceed.
Maxis is usually stronger when the customer qualifies for Maxis Postpaid Bundle pricing. For standalone fibre, Maxis is slightly lower than CelcomDigi public pricing on some mid-tier speeds, while 1Gbps standalone is similar. Always compare the exact address, final monthly price and eligibility.
In many areas, providers may use shared or wholesale fibre infrastructure, but the retail plan, billing, router, support and campaign offers are different. The exact network path and availability still depend on the service address.

For both providers, indoor 4G/5G signal is the most important factor.
