Moving House? Don't Pay RM200 to Move an Old Plan —
Moving Can Get You 3 Months FREE

Most people think moving = pay Maxis a relocation fee and drag the old plan along. Smart movers know the new house is a chance to reset to today's best deal — often cheaper AND better. Here are your options, honestly compared.

✓ Never a day without WiFi ✓ We handle everything ✓ Honest maths, no pressure

Door 1 is a real option and sometimes right (e.g. you're mid-contract — see below). We just believe you should see the maths before paying a fee to keep an old plan.

Which situation are you in?

Still under contract

Honest answer: ending a fibre contract early has a penalty, so your line move is handled by Maxis directly — call 123 (a relocation fee applies, Maxis confirms the amount). Before you call: send us your new address and we'll check fibre coverage there FREE — so you don't waste the call. We'll also note when your contract ends and show you the better deal when you're free.

🏆

Contract finished (or almost)

This is the golden window. Most movers do this: sign up fresh at the new house — new-customer promo (FREE 3 months or an RM1/mth device), new router, today's price. Households often register under the spouse's / a family member's name so the house qualifies as a new customer — our staff confirm eligibility properly. Pro move: the new line goes live BEFORE the old one is terminated — you're never a day without WiFi.

New house has port problems

Some addresses have no free fibre port (common blocker: the previous tenant's line still occupies it). Backup that works day one: Maxis 5G Home WiFi from RM69/mth — no port needed, the modem is posted free anywhere in Malaysia, plug in and you're online while the port gets sorted.

Check your moving options — 30 seconds

Our system checks your new address's fibre coverage AND (if you're on Maxis) your contract status — then shows your best option. Usually within minutes.

Moving house with Maxis Fibre — quick answers

Can Maxis Fibre be moved to a new house?

Yes — Maxis handles line relocations directly (call 123); a relocation fee (around RM200) may apply and the new address must have coverage. If your contract has finished, a fresh signup at the new house is usually the better deal — new-customer promo instead of a fee.

Can my spouse or family member sign up as the new customer?

Yes — the household chooses whose name the new account is under. A family member who doesn't have a Maxis fibre account is a genuinely new customer and qualifies for new-signup promos. Our staff confirm eligibility during the application.

Will I be without internet during the move?

Not if it's planned right: we activate the new line at the new house first, and the old line is only terminated after — so there's no gap. This is the single most useful trick for anyone working from home.

What if I'm still under contract?

Then early termination has a penalty, and the honest advice is to relocate via Maxis (123) or wait out the remaining months. Tell us anyway — we'll check your new address's coverage free, note your contract end date, and show you the best deal when you're free. No pressure in between.

The new house has no fibre port — now what?

Maxis 5G Home WiFi from RM69/mth works without a port — the modem is posted free nationwide, so you can be online on moving day while the port issue is sorted (or as a permanent choice).
